30 day photo challenge, day 3: clouds c’mon, ithaca. you’re one of the cloudiest places on the planet (the CULLENS lived here for a while, for goodness’ sake!). but today, when i need clouds, there are none to be found. that said, today’s deep blue sky illustrates why those of us who live here tolerate nine months of the coldest, dampest, most miserable weather there is: when the sun shines, it truly is gorgeous (ba-dum-bum). i shot this using the landscape mode, with the surf & snow setting on, in an attempt to tone down how bright it is out. it didn’t work, and sadly, i have no idea how to use photoshop because i really would like to bring out some more depth in the trees. i do, however, like how the leaves on the edges took on a shimmery-gold quality.
